Map Torch Light (Projector Phone): A Mobile Augmented Reality Camera Projector Unit
In this video we present a first prototype of a “Mobile Augmented Reality Camera Projector Unit”. Our “Map Torch Light” is tracked over a paper map with 6DoF and can highlight POIs, give directions or other guidance. The Camera Projector Unit is tracked using a dot grid printed on the map. For our first implementation we use a Nokia N95 as a camera and computing unit and an Aiptek mobile projector. Great thanks to Markus Löchtefeld, Michael Rohs & Antonio Krüger.
