Ovi Maps 3.07 Beta Overview

New version of Ovi Maps v3.07 is now available at beta labs for all Symbian^3 phones. Here’s an overview using the Nokia E7. The biggest change is that they have removed the application menu to Map, Navigation, Check in and Local content. There’s now a shortcut widget on the homescreen. The Place pages also have a new design. In navigation, you can pan the map to see the next move and explore the map within the route overview. Tapping on guides let’s you immediately see the weather forecast for your location or another city. Download at betalabs.nokia.com

    I like ovi maps better to have that “home” instead of heading directly to the maps. without that “home”, the guides and update is in seperate applications… I uninstalled 3.07 and went back to 3.06 instead (its easier for me to use}

    Is there a way to adjust which icons shows up in the wdiget? For example, I don’t’ care about the check in function at all, and I would rather have the events icon there.
