i don’t have the “Download Map Data” thing in my SGS2’s Google Map’s Labs
@jdgomezm It’s a labs (= beta) feature, they’re just trying things out. By the time it gets released out of labs it’ll probably work with navigation.

It is totally useless, You CAN NOT NAVIGATE with a downloaded map. WHAT IS THE POINT????? NOT USEFUL FOR TRAVELING!!!!

Where does it download this data (does it support app2sd?) and how big is the download of, say about 50km2 (~30mi)?

Hmm… I knew this was coming, but so soon. From the comment below he says he can’t use without Data still. I’m going to give it a try.
Why not just let us download countries… google uses maps from teleatlas so it’s possible.
It doesn’t let me navigate without a data connection…

It still uses data for A-GPS. It’s just not using as much data to download maps.
