Transit Navigation (Beta) in Google Maps 5.7 for Android

Learn more at google.com/mobile/navigation. Transit Navigation (Beta) brings GPS guided stop-by-stop directions to over 400 cities around the globe. Using your location along the route, Transit Navigation will alert you when its time to get off at your destination or to make a transfer. Transit Navigation (Beta) requires a phone with Android 2.1+ and the latest update of Google Maps for mobile.

    hey drummerkids1993′…get a better android phone or an extended battery..better yet..try tweaking your settings and clearing the cache often ..this can help a lot..google rocks..

    google maps and many other android applications are making it so much easier nowadays for people to get where they need to go..i feel bad for people still with basic feature phones..or your basic flip phone..maybe they believe all they need is to make calls …but you really dont know what your missing.

    This just isn’t good for below ground transportation (subways and the like). Pandav’s apps are incredible for routing and planning underground transit trips.

    Download maps is only clear and sharp for higher levels views. Low level view like 100m are all blurr. Not much use as it it. Expect download maps to work for all levels to be useful.

    Ok I love it and great idea only problem when I am abroad e.g.: Portugal how the heck will I get data for my maps? These data roaming rates must be cutted to the ground…
