    Personally I like to be “plugged in” since I live on the opposite side of the planet from all my family and friends. Though, I do limit myself by not having my main e-mail go to the phone. I did that for a while, and it was just too much. I also don’t use Twitter, which is probably a good thing.

    My iPhone was stolen, so I didn’t really make a choice; but I get what you mean completely. The only phone I had to downgrade to was my old Nokia 3210, and to remove everything from the habitual check of the email to flicking the silencer on and off in my pocket was amazing.

    I now have a Galaxy S 2, and forever getting in trouble with the lady again!

    I have a iPhone 4 and I keep notifications off..i get like 100-150 emails a day from youtube and other places but good enough

    A brilliant idea, I’ve sold my MacBook, put away my netbook, switched off auto Facebook, Twitter and Gmail updates on my HTC Desire HD. Now I only surf and watch selected tv shows on my phone.
