@momchil84 You are not looking at the big picture. Just see what Apple has done with those concepts and how Xerox neglected it’s potential.
@orbithesun1 this is not true either. Xerox Alto was the first computer to have a GUI. Apple was the first to bring that to the masses.
@ah164 Xerox kept it in the closet. Use it or lose it, that is what I always say!
@kroneage I am not a iSocialist, I am a iLibraterian. Live free or die!
@orbithesun1 Android OS was incorporated in 2003. That’s over a year before Apple even began the 30mo development cycle of iPod touch screen phone. That’s when they first hired a Touch Screen Engineer. Android OS was a complete ground up development specifically meant for Touch Screen Phones w/ (as Rubin in 2003) a users personal preferences & LOCATION AWARENESS features built in before Apple only ported OS-X derivative OS. Google buys in 2005. Android will FINISH First!

its nice info
ver good exp .

Sorry, I mis-spelled His last name, it’s Jobs.
I was implying on Apples vision with Steve Jobbs, with pushing the technology firmly forward. That is a fact!
@orbithesun1 the lisa computer also cost 10k and was a complete disaster. Progression from command line to GUI was inevitable once hardware was capable of rendering graphics well. the lisa has nothing to do with the iphone and nothing to do with android. try making your posts more relevant to the topic. if you want to go back as far as the 80s then you may as well start with the first ever modern computer, the Manchester Baby
Calling all android developers JETDROID needs are help

@mancmanomyst Apple introduced the GUI operating system in the early eighties, with their Lisa computer and later with the Mac.
@orbithesun1 Apple is not responsible for “the user interface that all OUR (not are) computers run on” as there are a load more Microsoft Windows computers than Macs.
Don’t get me wrong, the iPhone is a nice phone with some really good features but also some really poor ones. It’s not the God phone it claims to be, it’s just very cleverly marketed. Don’t believe all the “it’s so shiny” hype.
Android phones have much more potential long term
@vorjay yes, it has basic multi-threading. congratulations iPhone - you’ve just introduced a feature that was available on windows mobile and android from the beginning.
You’re arguments are weak because you don’t understand the difference between an mobile operating system platform and a phone. you criticise android because of a “3.5 inch screen” but android is an platform. you will find iPhone OS doesn’t have a screen. iPhone is way over-hyped for what it is
@vorjay lol don’t blame battery life
@Youpartyte lol who said I wanted it to be open? I really hope Apple bans more apps… ban them for wasting battery life, ban them for being of poor quality, ban them for having poor aesthetic, etc.
@vorjay iphone will never be open. FACE IT
@mancmanomyst iphone os 4.0 ever hear of it?
@vorjay when someone talks about multi-tasking on a mobile they’re not talking about seeing two screens on the same device, they mean the device can perform background tasks like play songs while you’re browsing the net.
This video is really for developers. The iPhone is a pretty poor platform to develop for. For example, if an app uses up all your system memory the iPhone will just reboot. Android is far more intelligent and swaps things in and out of memory.
iPhone is all about marketting
Android Sucks WebOS is better =)
