Google Maps for mobile with My Location (beta)

The new “My Location” (beta) feature on Google Maps for mobile helps you know where you are on the map, even if your phone doesn’t have GPS. Just press [0] to move the map to your approximate location. Save time and tedious keystrokes finding where you are, what’s around you, and how to get there.

Works perfectly on a k800i (So will also work with k810 and k850) Do not use unless you have unlimited GPRS data or similar deal with your tariff as downloading all the maps will make your bill rocket otherwise! (UK Prices)

I wonder if this can be used to locate a stolen phone via some sort of web interface? I know that in JPN you could use a web service to locate your phone to the nearest mast but in the UK they seem to want to charge you for this service. Anyone know any service like what I described in the UK?

Glad to see that some of Google’s Maps features that are on the iPhone are coming to other phones, too. It’s a really handy feature to have.
